I have CC'ed this to VIP Ireland list as I think it will be of interest there
as well.
I still use Windows 7 on my home PC and Windows 8.1 on my tablet. I have not
made the leap yet to Windows 10. See a thorough review of Windows 10 from the

JAWS has improved its access to Windows 10 since August 2015 when the review
was written. I cannot comment on NVDA as I do not use it.
The big problem with Windows 10 from our point of view seems to be Edge, which
is the new Internet browser that is supposed to replace Internet Explorer. I
presume that you can still use IE, but I do not know how difficult it is to
replace Edge.

Hi folks,
I'm strongly thinking of replacing my 8 year old Mac Mini (running Windows XP
under Bootcamp,) with a new pc.
I'm wondering whether to go with Windows 7 or 10? My gut feeling is to buy a
Windows 7 pc, and upgrade to Windows 10 at a later stage, when the OS is more
established.
I'll probably use NVDA, though I've no experience of it so far. I suppose the
alternative is to fork out for a current version of JAWS.
I've heard some podcasts on the pros and cons of UPGRADING Ffrom 7 / 8 to 10,
but little on thee OS itself.
Any advice most welcome.
