hi eamon, using nvda is very straight forward, so no worries there,
but surely you can get jaws paid for in your department,
and with the five licenses for jaws , you can install one for home use,
no nothing about windows 7 or 10, as i am now immersed in apple technology
for the past two years,

I'm strongly thinking of replacing my 8 year old Mac Mini (running Windows
XP under Bootcamp,) with a new pc.
I'm wondering whether to go with Windows 7 or 10? My gut feeling is to buy
a Windows 7 pc, and upgrade to Windows 10 at a later stage, when the OS is
more established.
I'll probably use NVDA, though I've no experience of it so far. I suppose
the alternative is to fork out for a current version of JAWS.
I've heard some podcasts on the pros and cons of UPGRADING Ffrom 7 / 8 to
10, but little on thee OS itself.
Any advice most welcome.
