Hi all, it looks as though there is a lot of it about! I got one claiming
to come from "abuse robot" but no mention of whose robot. It said I was
spamming from my address and it was probably because of an attack of a worm,
for which there was no official patch, as yet, and I would be saved from
having my emails blocked by clicking on a very helpful link they had
provided. I didn't do anything except delete them, but if you never hear
from me again I was obviously doubting them unfairly.

  Hi Paul and Tim,

Many thanks for a quick response to my email.

I rang Indigo Customer Support, and was told that they couldn't confirm
whether or not an email had been sent. I could have given my email
address for purposes of logging my query, but I understand that it would not
help them in ascertaining whether they actually sent me an email.

I was told, however, that they normally wouldn't send such an email, and
if they did, it would be from
Abuse, (rather than Postmaster,) at Indigo.

Their normal procedure , would be to contact a customer by letter, if
necessary.

The rep to whom I spoke, felt that more than likely, the email was spam.

I think I'll email them, (for informational purposes,) as I was told that
they hadn't heard of other customers receiving similar emails, supposedly
from the Postmaster at indigo.

On a different topic, you may remember last week a friend had a problem
transferring a file to a memory stick. As was suggested on the list, it had
to do with the subfolder in which the file was located. Once the file was
moved to the desktop, it transferred without any problem.

As people were good enough to advise, thought I should let them know the
outcome.

  Regards ,

  Eamonn

  Hi Eamonn,

If I were you I would contact indigo via email support or by the phone. It
sounds like a spam message to me but even I cannot be sure so follow it up
and don't wait for suggestions here on the list.

  Paul.
