Dear Vincent,

There are two possibilities here: You may have an image on the first few
pages but text on subsequent pages. If this is the case, you could select
the "goto" option on the View menu and jump forward to something like the
5th or 6th page. If that is still blank, then you very likely have an image
PDF file. This can be read using the Kurzweil  OCR program. Indeed you could
use any OCR program to convert it to text but the Kurzweil is very friendly
to screen reader usage.

hello again
 
i have a 375 page pdf book. i am trying to open it and it is telling me
"alert blank document". i have sighted assistance that is telling me that
the document is there with text on it. i have also tried to do a save as
text and that is not working. does anyone know what i need to do to save
this as a text document please. many thanks.
