Yup, that was it, I wiped out the old config files and everything started
behaving as expected. BTW, my congrats on the code improvementation: the
same very heavy load that takes half of my 4GHz octo, is running well [so
far, it's been 2 days] with newest code on my cobbled-together dual 3GHz,
which I decided to try as both experiment and backup to the big boy.

Been a while, friends, but I'm back to a-building. I am using the XFCEby
stable release of Manjaro (am amazed btw, extreme reliability with the
advantages of Arch), I brought in the 1.4.1 package, and I noticed that
default, when Yoshimi is started, either from xterm or from GUI, itenables
CLI not GUI. I tried running 'yoshimi -c' from xterm, and it said:
Can't disable both gui and command line!
Set for command line.
Then I tried yoshimi -I -c and it ran GUI. Probably not expected
behavior? :-)
That's rather odd. It should do a first time start with both enabled. I
wonder
if you had a stale config file in your home directory. What was your
previous
build? Config files have changed a lot over the last year.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
