Would anyone object to the idea of leaving the per part note max as it is
(where it will steal oldest notes if it is exceeded) and get rid of the supposed
total - which doesn't seem to work anyway?
As far as I can see, the very worst that can happen would be Xruns with a
very large number of notes on multiple parts.
