Wow, Will. The possibilities are wonderful! For the sight-impaired, but
also for the people like me that place Yoshimi as a component for external
control!!!!

I've always wanted to say that!
There's a bit of a delay but in a good way :)
There is a new branch called 'command' (use 'git checkout command' to
reach it)
which I'm quite excited about.
It allows you to type queries and instructions into Yoshimi while running
from a
command line. The hard part was working out how to get non-blocking
character
entry. It probably isn't completely RT safe, but I've been able to use it
to silently change instruments without Xruns while receiving a 12 part MIDI
file and with jack running at 1.2mS!
Before I merge this into master I would *really* like it checked out on
other
systems. If this all looks stable I'm wondering whether we should actually
skip 1.3.6, wait a little long and jump to V 1.4.
There is a new file in 'doc' called 'Command_Line.txt' with more details.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
