I've no idea of the current state of ALSA support in Zyn, (Yoshim's
support was
always better). A few years ago we did a *lot* of work on this so that
almost
all bit depths/sample rates on all soundcards were supported and alsa could
automatically look for a specific MIDI source and soundcard. At that time
Zyn
could do none of that and only worked at 16 bit.
I wouldn't want Yoshimi's support degraded.
