Am running the provided realtime kernel. On certain nVidia video
chipsets, e.g., mine (reports say, any of them which use shared main
memory for VRAM), it can get a bit dicey, because the new 'nouveau'
nVidia driver is the default, and it doesn't support everything yet.
But there are very good ways to work around that using the nVidia binary
drivers, and I caught wind of a way to do with with VESA too (though
didn't bother to take that all the way).

Unless you're running things that need stunning graphics performance (eg
games, MythTV, ...) the stock xorg 'nv' driver is excellent. Every time
I've tried the nvidia drivers with an rt kernel the results have been
explosive, but nv does it well, way better than vesa.
And, have compiled Yoshimi successfully, 0.055.3. More soon.

Excellent.

cheers, Cal
