Way back when I first started poking about with the code, a mac port was
a vague background ambition. The main impediment to progress has been the
fact that I still don't own a mac. For MacOS X it'd need an audio/midi
engine working to CoreAudio, right? Over a year ago I had a quick look at
the api, and I don't think it'd be all that hard to produce such a beast.
And I don't think it'd take too much #ifdeffing to get the code to build.
CMake offers some assistance in that.
one day I'll get back to it.. :)

Cool. On the other hand, if jack runs on MacOS X, all you'd need to do is
coerce it through the build process.
