Most Odd. What version are you running?
I'm using the latest SVN
svn co
https://rosegarden.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rosegarden/trunk/rosegarden
yeah, me too - I'm getting the same result with svn trunk, the 10.10 release,
and even 10.04, which is what I'd been happily running previously. There's
something about my system that's changed, I just have to figure out what that
might be.
Obviously you're running your computer on second-hand electrons. Don't be a
skinflint. Go out and buy some new ones :D

FYI I'm currently using Ubuntu 10.4 and Rosegarden 10.2 qt 4.6.1 that came with Ubuntu and that runs fine.
Alas I cant find the dev files for sqlite 3 yet so I cant build the required version of yoshimi but playing a full orchestral score on a 1.7G Athlon RG only uses 30 % of the cpu max!
