I was not aware of that, fltk2 is the default version for gentoo, and is hard to downgrade
I will avoid it for the next setup

I hadn't thought about this 'til now - with your fltk2 situation, do you
really need a build without any reference to fltk? I'd only thought about
a --no-gui command line flag. Could you get by with that, or would you really
need the former, ie, no fltk reference at all?
I'm ok with reinstating the --no-gui command line option, which
should give
you what you need, right?

I couldn't ask more, thanks to do that whenever you have some time !
I am curious about why you took it away at first, but nevermind

thanks for the quick answer

Way back when I first started this, were a few things that felt like "I never
use this, I'll never need it". And it's making a horrible mess of the code, or
worse, it's slowing things down, might as well get rid of it. The --no-gui
capability is just one of those that needs to go back in.

cheers.
