Hi Chris -

I find the actual volume power in headphones is determined by the make of headphones itself, cheaper ones are usually less powerful; I'm using my Senheizer cordless set, and until a couple of days ago, all was well, so it's not that they are not loud enough, it's that most of the sound has drifted across to the left side, not much good when listening to music or streems from the web, so you can perhaps apreciate , that bunging in a hearing aid for me isn't going to fix this one. I can say too, that it doesn't seem to be a wiring problem for the headphone socket, as there is some sound in the right hand channel, but not very much! -

I have a problem whereby my headphones are significantly quieter than my
laptop, say about 20% quieter. My volume is set to 100% so not sure what the
deal is. I just live with it though and wear my hearing aid along with the
headphones for better quality.

Hi all -

The sound is working fine on my Vista laptop, when heard through the
built-in speakers, but when I plug headphones in [and I prefer to work this
way] the playback is about 80 percent over to the left channel. I thought
that what I heard in the headphones replicated the settings of the speakers,
but obviously not. Is there a way then, that I can pan back to the middle
for the headphones? I can't see anything under volume, and yes, I have
tested the headphones in other devices, and they are working fine, so it
looks to be a sound setting on this machine.

Thanks -

Andy
