Carol,

You can have different kinds of membership to Audible, or none at
all, as it best suits you.

You can find out about these options by following the Gifts Centre
link from the home page and then by following the link for Select An Audible
Listener Membership.

I was given a premium membership for 3 months, for my birthday last
year. This entitled me to 2 book credits per month. For the most part a
single book credit will purchase an entire book, although in the case of
very long books it may take 2 credits. The advantages were that for the
roughly $20 per month the subscription cost, I usually bought books worth
$60 plus, which had the subscription not been a gift would have been a
considerable bonus.
Disadvantages were that I couldn't always find books I wanted to buy
that particular month and if you don't use up your credits each month, they
don't get carried over to the next.

HTH,
Tink.

Hi All,

I have been looking at
www.audible.com

Can those of you who use it please let me know whether you can make use of
all the features of Book Courier with AUDIBLE books, in other words, whether
they are properly formatted for this? In addition, are there any other easy
ways to read these books? Finally, I didn't find anything about a
subscription. Is this because there isn't one but you pay for most books
downloaded? I'd be grateful for any further information you can give me on
or off list.

Thanks.
