Hello Pele, Yes, many people have had this meaningless message. I don't know if it is to do with size, as this should be determined by your I/sP and not AVG--but who knows. I had been using AVG 7 for months with no trouble before this started to happen, and it was when I was sending large blocks of multiple e-mails of four or five pages each but with no attachment that the failure to send occurred. As stated, you can get the message even when no attachments are sent. The warning message says it is returning the message to you below but there is never anything shown below, so you often don't know what message failed to go if you have sent several. To eliminate this, I have turned off the personal e-mail scanner for both incoming and outgoing messages. This, of course, partly negates the purpose of having a virus scanner but my ISP (Onetel) now intercepts the vast majority of e-mails which have virus attachments on them and spam (and too many which don't as well, I'm afraid to say) and its usually easy to spot "dodgy" e-mails and delete them anyway. Just make sure that you run the AVG complete system scan regularly in this case. Regards, John. I believe it is a size problem, but I could be wrong. Here is the meaningless message I received today after sending a large e-mail with attachments: "From: AVG for Email <avgmail@localhost> Subject: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender This is the AVG E-mail Scanner program. I'm sorry to have to inform you that the message returned below could not be delivered to one or more destinations. ---------------------------------------------------------------- --- ---------------------------------------------------------------- --- Your e-mail message is being returned to you in the next part of this message. Try to send the message again. Should you need assistance, please contact your administrator or your internet service provider." The message is sent as an attachment. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Can anyone suggest another anti-virus software which is free and friendly?
