Douglas,

I tend to agree with you about needing an extra anti-virus package.  Have
you found the extra components in the Smart Security suite to be of much
use?

I may be ultra-cautious, but I would not feel safe even on Vista without a
dedicated antivirus
program.  In fact on this Vista laptop I have been using Eset Smart Security
(basically
NOD32 + other components) and it seems to be doing its job very well and
unobtrusively.
