I never had problems with renewing my subscriptions either, in fact, I had to do it about a week ago, one night while I was working away at my computer a message from Norton popped up telling me that my subscription will expire soon and therewas a button to renew it, when I pressed enter on the button it took me to a page, which already had the details of my product and when it expires. On this page I had 2 options, to renew or to buy a newer version, so it was all pritty easy, once I chose the option went to next stage, ended creditcard details and thing was automaticly renewed.

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for the info.

Many people on this list will know the problems I have experienced with Norton, thankfully not of late but I must say I have never found it a problem to renew my subscription. I believe I just clicked on renew subscription in Norton and found it easy to subscribe. I was a little surprised that my Norton System Works and Norton Firewall had different subscription dates as I felt sure I installed them the same day but apart from that I found subscribing easy.

Mary

carol and Mary,
Although I don't have any particular problems with NAV 2004, apart
from its excessive use of resources and the feeling that it wants to take
over the world, I don't know whether I could face the subscription
renewal process again when it becomes necessary later this year. I
have tried out a program called NOD32 on a spare machine and found
it very accessible with a screen reader, sparing in its use of resources,
and apparently you can purchase a subscription on line for 1,2 or more
years as preferred in a relatively straightforward way.

Just thought it worth mentioning as another option. The details are at
www.nod32.com.

Hi Carol,

As you know, I have had lots of Problems with Norton and when my
subscription finishes this year, I shall probably go with another
supplier. I tried McAffee and it seemed to break up my sound card. I was
having all sorts of problems. I believe Sandra uses McAffee and
Window-Eyes and has no problems, so perhaps she's more qualified to
comment. I just seemed to get lots of problems with McAffee, that's why I
stayed with Norton.
