Hi George.

When I purchased my new computer from PC World in December I also purchased, for £28.00 McAfee. Unfortunately, I could not access this program, as dialogue boxes with radio buttons would appear at the bottom of my screen which I needed sighted assistance to check or un-check. Subsequently, I changed to Norton. I don't understand Norton George and hope that it is working away in the background, but £28.00 was quite a lot of cash for nothing. The program is now sitting in a drawer.

Anyone else use McAfee. and should I struggle with it, rather than staying with Norton, which will cost me £45.00 in a week or so, when my 80 day trial ends?

Best wishes.
Andy

I try my best not to be biased, but I guess I finally had to
blow off when XP SP2 was released, and Norton had so many
problems with it.

I will now openly and publicly declare that in my personal
opinion, Norton results in far more problems than any other
anti-virus software.

Microsoft's own Knowledge Base lists TWICE as many problems
with Norton as it's nearest rival, McAfee.

That to me says enough and justifies my personal statement.

Ah, some say AVG but others use Norton.
Now doesn't this just make you hold a finger to your chin
and go, hmmmm.
