Hi,

Right you were.  They take standard NiMH 1.2V batteries.  So we should
have some by the end of the week if we're lucky.

Thanks for the tips.  It was more a matter of working out how to get the
cover off the back.  Once I managed that, it was, as they say, child's
play.
