I'm hopeful then, I have avoided eight. Have Microsoft looked at
accessibility of ten? Hope so.

Yes, I have the Technical Preview on two systems on our network. So far, I
am quite impressed, and only have a minor problem with one piece of
software, and that is not a show stopper. Thankfully the start button is
back!!

As regards the "tablet" side, it's really the Touch Screen feature are which
is becoming more popular. More and more large touch screens are becoming
available, and at lower and lower cost. These are becoming especially
popular when you have say small staff meetings and don't have to phaff
around with a mouse, just use a finger.

George.

Hmm, have u seen betas then? Nice if windows ten is looking like seven, why
ms put a tablet os on pcs I will never get my head around. I know the
reason, it's apple, but why migrate something made for the surface pro to a
pc format where it would fail due to peple liking their keyboards?

Your hesitancy about Windows 8 is wise. (Thankfully Windows 10 is looking
more like 7)

You can still buy legal copies of Windows 7, primarily used to re-cycle
older PCs, but still a full, legal version.

Hi all,

once again, my old Imac is having screen/display issue. Last time it was
fixed by some thumps, but, this time the magic thump is not working. I will
be opening it up to see if I can find the loose cable/connection.

However, I have a feeling it is time to replace the entire system now. I am
little hesitant to go over to windows 8 as I have to upgrade several of my
software. I was wondering if anyone could recommend windows 7 laptop or a
desktop computer?

Thank you

Ali
