Hi Phil. If you want a digital recorder which is small and relatively accessible try the Olympus DS30, Ds40 or DS50. They have spoken prompts and most of their features are quite accessible. With a digital voice recorder you can indeed jump from message to message quickly and connect the unit to a PC for transferring files. The DS30 costs about £119 and will record just over 4 hours of audio in high quality mode. I think the DS50, the most expensive of the recorders, costs about £199 but not absulutely sure of that. They are available from hagger electronics. go to www.hagger.co.uk. I'm not absulutely sure about the cordless headphones though I do remember some were discussed here. I am looking for recommendations for a digital recorder for work. At present I use a dictaphone and it is awkward rewinding back to the end of messages so not to record over anything you want to keep. Am I right in thinking that each separate recording is treated as a separate file/track and can you delete individual files off the disc. Secondly, I have just tried some old Sony cordless headphones which I have had for approx ten years at work. the batteries have only lasted three days and wondered if anyone could recommend some that would recharge overnight. I seem to remember someone talking about ones which fit back on to the cradle for charging, I think they may have been Zenheizer. Could you let me know about battery usage times etc.. Look forward to hearing soon.
