Hi Carol,

"do you just install over the top or have a fresh install?"

Eset recommends uninstalling all other protection software before installing; I reckon they meant other than Eset products though. However, I uninstalled my older version before updating just to be sure and to avoid any complications; it only takes a few minutes after all.

After you install and connect to the internet, a popup window pops up asking you if you want to allow your computer to be seen on the network. Jaws previously couldn't cope with that window but you'll be pleased to know that this window now is fully accessible. I think it was you, Carol, who I mentioned this window to sometime ago.

Here's the downloading link below, but, I'll send you off list a copy of the email I got from Eset about updating to V4 as it has all the instructions you need to update and it'll make things easier.

http://www.eset.co.uk/Download/HomeEditions

Actually, to all Eset users, I'd suggest subscribing to their news letter. They only send out the odd email when there's a new version, update or some other important news. they never bombard you with all sort of junk!

HTH,
Amro

OK, do you just install over the top or have a fresh install? Do you have a link for the download?

You right, Carol! I've tried it with Jaws 7.0. I reckon other screen
reader users will benefit too. Some of the improvements in Eset v4 for
example, the Tap key moves you between the different buttons in an Eset window. As well, now the different parts of the program such as firewall, anti virus,
anti spyware etc are accessible from the menu bar. I only tested it
quickly but from what I've seen so far I'd say go and update if you can.

Cheers,
Amro

I understood, from Eset representatives, that there were some issues
for screen reader users, but good, it seems they have worked things
out. You didn't say which screen reader you were using, which may have
been helpful to know.

Thanks Debbie and James. I got an email from Eset today advising
that v4 is out for downloading. I've just downloaded it; will
install and see! Thanks again. Amro
