Hi Marie - Just tried launching the programmed this way, but the same thing
happened, JFW just froze!

Can I ask you [and maybe we might need to take this off list] but did you
install all of the FR software from the download when you purchased the
programmed? I did, and although when I try to open the programmed now, JFW
freezes, it did open once, and I went to the tools menu, clicked on options,
and tabbed once to try and change the interface from the twain setting to
that of FineReader, but the FR interface didn't show up in the drop down
box. It looks like I need to change some setting to get this programmed
working with JFW, and I don't know what these are, so would appreciate any
help.

Thanks - Andy

I never open Finereader in Programmes. I open Word, choose the lists of
macros with alt+f8, find Fine reader in there and press enter. Takes a while
for the programme to load as it has to activate the scanner but, after about
30 seconds, it's there.
Hopes this helps.
Marie
