Hi Carol, you'll need to log onto your googlemail account on the web to do the below, which will do what you've asked:

1. If necessary, click basic html.
2. Click settings.
3. Click forwarding and pop.
4. In the section regarding pop access, press c to jump to the combo box, press enter to activate forms mode, down arrow until you hear delete from server, or similar, and tab to the save changes button and press enter to deactivate forms mode and thus click the button.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] GMAIL SETTING

Hi all,

I'm struggling to find a setting in Gmail which will
automatically delete
incoming messages from my account once I've downloaded them to my
computer.
I still prefer to work in Outlook Express rather than on the WEB
and would
be grateful if anyone can tell me if this can be set for a POP3
account.

Thanks.
