Carol,

You need to check the checkbox that precedes the sender information of
one or more messages and then use the More Actions combo box that
appears at the top and the bottom of the table of messages. This should
contain an item called Apply label and under that there is a list of the
labels you've set up. Beware that later in the combo box list there is a
Remove label item followed by the list of labels again. Choose the one
under the Apply Label heading and then press the Go button that comes
after the combo box. That will apply the label to the checked messages
and unchecks them.

You should also find there is a heading 2 called Labels on the page.
Underneath this is a list of the labels you've set up, each of which is
a link. You can use these to open a new screen that gives the messages
with that label.

Steve

Well, it may, if you can tell me if you can then use the labels in
normal
view. ...

Still not got it toether yet but made an inroad with Catherine mail to
go to
settings and got a new label - then got stuck and couldn't see how to
assign
it to a particular email.

Any more help most welcome. Thanks.
