[access-uk] HTMl.zip files

Hi all,    
I  am having real problems with some files I  am being sent from the US.
I  know the files contain text not pictures of any sort.
the extension is HTLM.ZIP
I  thought I  could open them as either docs or ideally as web files.
can anybody give me, or direct me to, a  step by step guide to open these?
