Why on earth would anyone want the I-phone. Many users demand a physical keypad. Do what I have just done and get a N97 Mini and you have a touch screen phone with a physical querty keypad and you can also text using the onscreen numeric keypad. Now thats what I call the best of both worlds. Talks works well when using the keypad to navogate and when you press a number on the keypad or onscreen with your finger then Talks will speak the number or letter. I can listen to my music and write and read text messages along with using the calender and contacts plus writing notes and I can use other third party apps. The phone has a 3.5m audio jack so I don't have to worry about buying headphone adaptors. I'm getting quicker with this phone by the day and don't regret the purchase. I can't wait to put Mobile Speak on this phone as the new version will support the touch screen fully. I just have to wait a month. At the moment I have to look at the screen if I want to press the options key 1 and key2 plus the end call key.

Why can't you use a bluetooth keyboard? I'm aware of people that do, and there are keyboards out there claiming to work with the iphone.
