Hi Andy,

You will hate me for this, but just go to Google and paste in the
following line to the search field.

HP Pavillion screen jumping

Seems like you are not alone.

George.

Sorry George - It's a 3-year-old HP Pavillion laptop -

If it's an older CRT monitor, (as opposed to a flat screen) it
may be that the Vertical Hold needs adjustment. Difficult to resolve
without knowing exact make and model.

Alternatively, or as well, check that the data cable is well
seated.

        George.

        Hello all -

Don't know how long this has been happening, but got told
today that my screen is not so much flickering, as jumping. So for
example, at boot up where the Microsoft logo appears, it keeps jumping
and inch down screen, then back up. The cursor does the same, and so
do the desk top icons etc.

I hope this explains it clearly enough for somebody to tell me
if this is a major problem, or something I can fix? -

        Andy
