roger, just to clarify, after unchecking the users must enter a username and
password bit you can choose the account with which you log on which should
not be administrator.

Can't remember the exact error you get if you log on with administrator used
but it reverts to the old need to login next time you boot up.

Also, even if you can't get login to disappear, you can set it up so all you
need to do is press enter at the login prompt. This involves getting rid of
the XP welcome screen and using the more traditional login screen where ;you
tab between username and password.

A google search on Windows XP Login on google should find god instructions
on how to do this. I will look for further instructions later if required
when I have knocked down the email mountain I have!

Regards

Graham

Hi Peter

I've been out today and returned about 90 minutes ago to fund I'm unable to
power up at all. I finally gave up and when passing about 30 minutes later
saw the Windows logo flying around the screen. I hit return and got the log
on message. When I got into the system I did a restore to the day before
yesterday and all now seems well. Having access to news and podcasts sounds
wonderful but not at the price of not being able to access my system.

Roger

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.
