Hi Peter

I've been out today and returned about 90 minutes ago to fund I'm unable to power up at all. I finally gave up and when passing about 30 minutes later saw the Windows logo flying around the screen. I hit return and got the log on message. When I got into the system I did a restore to the day before yesterday and all now seems well. Having access to news and podcasts sounds wonderful but not at the price of not being able to access my system.

Hi Roger,
I removed Net framer 1.1 from the Add programs section of my computer and the
Logon window is now gone.

Hi Peter

I have the exact same problem. I downloaded the NET Framework file from your
website and the RSS Reader is now working just fine but I now have to enter
my logon name when I power up. Applying Graham's fix caused an error massage
to the effect of the correction he posted being reversed and I'm now back
entering my logon name again.

I'm wondering if I want this RSS Reader this badly and a restore is looming
on the horizon.

hi peter.

I have read this solution and it seems to work but not sure why. Anyone
any
more info on the control command?

Click start> run " control userpasswords2 " click OK. Click the account
you
want to log on automatically. Untick the box "users must enter a user name
and
password to use this computer". Click apply. If you don't have a password
just click OK> Ok and you're done.
Choosing administrator account as the default on windows xp home causes an
error so just use yor account.that you normally log on with.

Reboot will take you straight to your desktop.

Cheers

Graham

Hi all, When I turn on my XP Home computer I am taken onto a logon window. This window presents a list box with Peter Logue in it. I have to highlight this and press enter before the desktop will launch. Can anyone tell me how I get rid of this. Also, sometimes, that list box contains the words, Peter Logue has 10 new messages, and I can't seem to get rid of this one. Any idea what that is?

Peter
