Spot on, Tony! At one time, some of the major ISPs blocked what is called "Reverse DNS Lookup" - BT, Yahoo and Iscali among them. This is a proces whereby Freelists (any many other list providers) bounce back a message to check that a received message has originated from who is says it has. It increases the load on their servers, but can be a major help in blocking spam. Spammers particularly don't like this, since it effectively points the finger at them, so they try to cover up their location by forging headers. Perhaps there is another issue involved. Check that problem further then perhaps report back to the list!
