Hi Jackie -Thanks for the phone number, was going to use it when somebody else told me that holding down both the power and home buttons for about 10 seconds, would achieve a hard reset. done this, and hurrah! My Touch is back in dialogue with me.
Much relieved - Andy----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairnsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi AndyIt has probably locked up, not actually died. If this is so, you would needto have it reset. My Nano fifth generation occasionally does this for noapparent reason. When it does, I have to do a combination of the wheel and reset it. The iPod Touch would have a different combination seeing that it has no wheel. I rang Apple and they told me how to do this, so it might beworth your while contacting them and choosing technical support from thespoken menu when they answer. I found them very helpful to be honest. Ring0800 0480408. Like I say, I'm doing this from within Andy's IPod, under devices from within Itunes, so not playing the tracks from the Itunes Library, but from the play list on the Pod. I still don't know why the Pod appears to be dead, I've had eyes on it, and been told there is nothing on screen, and pressing the power button, volume up and down buttons, and home button, makes no difference! - Andy ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
