[access-uk] My sent items folder has accidently emptied itself. Is there a way of getting the sent items back?

Hi all,
On my Acer laptop running XP home and Jaws 7.10 I seem to have lost a large
amount of sent messages from my sent items folder. The only reason I can
think for this happening is that I have done a disk clean-up on my C drive.
If the clean-up has got rid of the sent items then that's OK, but the reason
I think that there may be more to it than that is that when compacting
folders earlier today in Outlook Express I suffered an error which generated
a report that I was advised to send to Microsoft, and I was online at the
time I wanted to compact the Outlook Express folders, and also it was
compacting the Sent Items folder when the error mentioned above occurred.
Has anyone got any advice please.
