Chris,

Eudora is an option alot of screenreader users go for.

I personally think Microsoft Outlook (although usable), is not suited to a home user unless you're running an Exchange server.

Re: The OE problems.

I'd suggest backing her mailboxes up with one of the many outlook express backup tools out there, deleting the identity from within Outlook Express's file menu.
Creating a blank identity witht he exact same name of the deleted one.
Restoring the Outlook Express backup.

If you want a tip I'd stear clear of EBackup as a tool and if this has been used and IE7 recently put on this is most likely the cause of the problems. The backups taken with EBackup whilst IE7 is on the machine corrupt the identity.

Hi. Basically she can use Outlook Express for a while, then all of a sudden it will freeze for no apparent reason until she reboots her laptop to which
the same problem happens again. It was worse though before; her Outlook
Express stuck at the splash screen, but I've sinced fixed that via both
deleting her dbx files and the identities section of her registry. But it
still hasn't fixed the current problem, so this is why I'm asking what
e-mail clients, from either Thunderbird, Eudora, or any other for that
matter, except Outlook, she could use for the time being. Thanks in advance
for the help.

Chris,

Sorry I wasn't following this thread. What was her issue with outlook
express?

I've had my problems with it over the years and most recently with IE7 so
maybe I can help.

Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that despite my friend removed IE7, her
Outlook
Express is still not working. Therefore I'm going to try out a couple of
alternatives, Thunderbird and Eudora. Any of you tried those with JAWS? If so, which was the better and simpler to use especially? Any other pros and
cons you could share? This would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.
