Andy,

I had a recent problem where I got to the checkout, filled in my details
and then didn't get the next page telling me they'd be coming and
sending me an email. Instead I got a message that something had gone
wrong at the checkout stage. I tried it again about a half an hour
later and it was fine.

Don't know if this helps really but at least you're not alone with
perhaps occasional problems at the site which are not recognised by
Customer Services. The only problem they have is not knowing what
satsumas are!! True: I had to make an amendment on one occasion and
remove apples and replace them with satsumas. The lady on the other end
asked if "satsumas" were apples! <SMILE>

I decided at that stage to do the manoeuvre myself later! . . ..

Subject: [access-uk] Problem checking out orders on websites; cookies?

Hi all -

This is happening on more than one site that I have an accountwith, but
I'll
use Tesco for this example.

I can log in with my password, do my shop, and check my basket, but when
I
hit the 'check out your order' button, the page disappears, but the
checkout
page doesn't arrive, and when I arrow up and down, JFW doesn't speak,
and
only pressing alt F4 get's me out of it, by bringing up the last page,
with
the 'check out your order' button.

I've spoken with Tesco, and they say they have no technical problems,
and
actually completed the order from their end.

I'm wondering then, if I have a cookie issue. I haven't knowingly
deleted
any cookies off this machine, and am wondering if they can get
corrupted, if
this is possible, it does seem strange, as I've experienced it on
another
site this morning!

Any thoughts on what might have happened and how to fix it?

Thanks

Andy
