Continuing this thread and in line with what Mark has said, for those of you accessing your accessuk e-mails on your mobile phone however, once the e-mail is open, if you want to reply privately to someone rather than reply to the list, if using Talks, with the cursor mode in origional and ensuring that in options automatic find off, then you can save the e-mail address to your contacts and then you will have it for private replies. Other than that reply on your phone will bring the reply back to the list.

As Elanor said, you need to open the email and extract the email of the
sender manually, by copy and paste into the TO feield of a new email.

Right, thanks for that explination.
So if I'm correct, you're saying that regardless or what command is used,
in either instance, the message will still be sent onto the list?
I'm wondering then, is their any way of directly sending the sender of a
particular message en e-mail pravately?
Thanks.

Your understanding of the reply and reply to all seems ok to me.

The confusion arrises because the list is set up to send replies to the
list. The list software then forwards them on to the list of subscribers.
It can also be set up to send replies that are sent directly to the
individual who sent the initial post. All the emails you receive from
accessuk have been forwarded on from the original sender by the list
software and you did not get them from the sender directly.

Hi guys,
I'm a little confused with the differences with reply and reply to all,
so
was wondering if someone could help me.
As far as I understand, reply is supposed to reply to the user to sent a
message, where as reply to all is supposed to send a message to everyone
in the CC list.
I'll give you an example of where I'm confused.
On this list, if for example Chris sent a message, naturally I'd assume
that the reply option would send an e-mail to him personally, where as
the reply to all option would send a message to the entire list, but both
commands seem to do the same here.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what's goign on?
Thanks a lot guys,
Elliott.
