Hi Eleanor
Well I am as deaf as door post!
Cannot hear speech at all.

So Braille is my only way to access text messages
And typetalk. Are you aware of typetalk?
It's a telephone relay service that makes it possible
For deaf, deafblind, and speech impaired people to receive and make
Telephone calls from anyone.

Regards, Derek

Very expensive bit of kit though Derek for Braille messages but I think that

perhaps yourself and Christine have hearing impairment too so of course
braille is paramount.
