Hi Jackie
Surely it would be bad management if one was to take on
A member of staff on the basis blind.

Staff should never be taken on based on disability, it should
Always be based on ability to do the job, And also is there need for
the extra job?
Clearly in the case of Sight & Sound, they must feel they
Have enough staff now.
Regards, Derek

As you know Paul, I gave S and S every assistance I could to advertise and
recruit a blind person with good Braille skills to become part of the
company before I left. Sadly, however, nothing was done about it, I moved
away, and thankfully we all appear to be happy with the paths we have taken.
(smile).

i think it is a great pity that a company the size of sight and sound
chooses not to employ fulltime a blind person in such a role! this calls
into question your commitment to employing blind people in my view! very
poor indeed!
