Hi,

I think it was more that she was not aware of the cost of roaming charges
rather than that data was being downloaded without her being aware of it,
i.e. she just left her roaming charges facility turned on. I'm with
Vodafone, and when abroad, roaming is automatically turned off, so the
choice is then yours.

Subject: [access-uk] Smart phones and roaming charges

Hi all -

There was a thing on Money Box this week about a loyer who ran up a bill
with T-Mobile, for £750 when in Australia, because her phone was downloading
data without her being aware of it. I was left wondering how this might
happen? Anybody know? -
