Hi,

Firstly I must say that for some reason your messages are coming in on
black on black.

Anyway, yes, the on-screen interface to Creative Remote is not
accessible to JFW, however, I can see it enough to see what I am doing.
JFW wouldn't detect the change anyway if you did the change on the
remote, since it looks at the keyboard to see when a change takes place.

Thanks.

Andrew.

Subject: [access-uk] Sound blaster live - external help

hi

i have just bought a sound blaster live external USB sound device. It
came with a remote control and lots of interesting software. it would
appear you can use the remote control to control music playback on your
computer, and also use other functions such as computer system shut
down, cd eject and i am sure many more. when using the remote control
an on screen interface starts up through which you need to navigate,
navigation can be done with th keyboard, however, it is not JAWS
friendly. also the other bundled software is not JAWS friendly.

has anyone else had experience with this sound device? or know of any
other more friendly software which could be used with it? any
suggestions? or is it the case that these "nice" features have been
designed without the consideration of speech access users?

Apart from all these apparently nice features, the sound device works
well, sounds good and was very easy to install.

thanks.

nathan
