Hi Audrey.

Finally got it to work this morning thanks, but I'm not sure how I did it. I had to set the volume a couple of times as it kept reverting back to zero for some reason.

Best wishes.
Andy

Hi Andy,

Sorry to have been a while responding. I think it is probably because your line in is muted in the play controll. Either that or try checking it in the record control. You could also chek the levels on it as it may be quite low. I know that with mine it has to go quite a way up before it is usable. I then increase the volume once the file is on the PC.

Let me knnow if this works.

Audrey

Hi Audrey.

As you know I purchased the Soundblaster 24 bit external sound card and although I wish later to try and use the Optical connections, I am currently struggling with the Line-In settings for GoldWave. I have gone into GoldWave and told it that I am using the Soundblaster and have checked the line-in box but still, I cannot get the sound through my soundcard.

I have a phono connection from my SKY box going into a minijack which in turn plugged into the Line-In of the soundcard and I cannot hear a thing.

It's most probably a volume settings thing, but I'm really stuck. I've tried everything, but still, cannot get a signal through the card.

Any ideas?

Andy
