Hi all, I don't exactly apologise for this post and I'll try to keep it brief!I've just written about my recent experience when visiting the RNIB shop at Judd Street for the first time a few weeks back ...
(I won't repeat here what I wrote there ...)My quest to get a proper indepth demonstration of the Plextalk Pocket has been exceedingly difficult ... and I've now decided to give it up.
Not only was I unable to get anything like a demonstration at the RNIB, but I have declined to purchase the "Infotech" article. This was the last nail in the coffin for me! I was told this would cost me £10 as I'm not a regular subscriber to "Infotech" and you can no longer purchase individual articles at a reasonable rate. I think £10 is too steep and, despite my writing both Brian and Terry at T&T, I heard nothing from them.
Well, that's just too bad! It seems my quest for a recorder I'll really like and get on with is just not to be!
Surely, it ought to be easier than this to get proper demonstrations and a working knowledge of this high tech stuff for which we have to pay fairly high prices anyway ...
