Hi Carol
Well our microwave  has two  dials.
The power dial has 5 positions and the dial does click.

The timer dial does not click  but  it's easy to turn to different 
like 10 past the hour 3 o clock position etc..

I think it's just a case of remembering how much time for different
positions.

So, you can tell by the dial which positions you're in?  Do they click

around?
