I agree that bump -ons by them selves do not stick very well but I just put a dab of glue on the back of them and I find they are much more robust. I use a normal tube of glue of some kind, possibly Bostick, but I guess even superglue could be used.

The other thing I have used which seems even more robust is a nail varnish typed blobber which I think I got from the RNIB. You need sighted help to squeeze this out on a particular target and let it set fast. I have never personally known this stuff come off once applied.

I don't find the bump-ons stay very well and so I'd be loath just to have those as guidance, but thanks for your comments.

Carol when our not even 3 years old Cobolt microwave went wrong we
decided not to spend out that amount of money so we went to one of
our independant shops and bought one of their own named brand.
Smaller by far with 2 dials.
One for the levels such as defrost, medium, high, other is the
timer which we got someone to put bumps on.
The levels dial is click settings.
And all for the price of £59.

The RNIB have started to supply and, it's a bit vague, but I
think it's probably the same old microwave at the same old price,
and I can't remember what that is off the top of my head.
We are considering looking for a replacement elsewhere and not
necessarily a speaking model. Anyone out there found anything
they're using with beeps, or just the old dialer that you have to
    time individually?

        Hi All,

I’ve had my Cobalt talking microwave for some 10 years and
        looking to renew.

Can anyone advise is Cobalt the best supplier or do we in the
UK have anyone else that supplies the same product at a more
        reasonable price?

        Thanks,

        Scott

        Kindest Regards

We have had it now for coming up 3 years and won't pay the price
of something that could cost much less.
