Hello all. I have come home to read many comments as to the Tesco web site. Many comments are valid for individuals and some are from a different planet or so it seams. Why should there not be a access site, as we have a choice of cars for different needs, we have books in a range of formats, and we all know that one size does not fit all. For those people that can use nice new web sites and I mean the main site well please use them, but what about people that are not confident in using hi-tec they need some where to start. People are saying that there is little wrong with the Tesco site, well why do Tesco staff acknowledge them selves that there is a problem with it. many people use such a range of it and so many versions of software as they do not understand, know where to get it from, some are so updated that their machines will not run them so please tell me why those that can say that all others should be able. As for training, some people can only under take so many independent tasks because of their abilities. Many of them have learned how to email, access letters and do the basic shop, many older people who have spent most of their lives either being able to see and find it difficult to get up in the morning, but they have embraced the 21st century and started to use computers, we should be helping them not we should not do this or that. Yes we have the choice to shop else where but for some people products are only available from a specific chain of shops or outlets. To return to the main site and the access site, why not have both, are shops going to reduce the cost of goods they sell because they are not spending so much on the web site. Some comments have been about not having access to facilities that are available on the main site well perhaps this is what people may require, less clutter. And please give a thought to people that se voice commands to navigate down a page, how many times can a person say next to navigate down a list of products. There are many other comments I could make but you would say that is enough so I will stop here. Just to close we are all different and some can and some can not, so lets help those that can not in what ever way we can.
