Why? I am the person with the tv license in my household, but I'm more than happy to give the details to other people.

No doubt Auntie will require the hapless user to enter their licence
number when attempting to access iplayer services supplimneted by a
string of"security questions" to identfy the validity of the licence,
rather messy since at current the licence is based not on the name of
the holder but the premises at which a tv receiving device is normally

in use and installed.

Therefore the critiron for tv licence validity will have to change
from
being valid for a specified address to valid for a named person who is

habitually dimciled at a given address, and is registered as a legally

intitled resident of the UK. I bet Auntie sees a nice earner here if
she
can persuade the EU to accept a licence fee that applies not just to
the
UK but to the EU as a whole, oh what murky waters we are treading
theese
days.
