Hi, USB 3 just increases the speed of transfer. You can’t buy a converter for it, but you might be able to buy a card or a hub to convert, not sure. Most new computers come with at least two USB3 sockets. I have two computers that support them natively. I’m aware that I need to have some form of conversion on my computer to use these (well I think I do) but what is it I need? A simple plug in adaptor or something more complex such as a wired in unit in my tower? Also is it really necessary to change? Many thanks Roger
