As long as you don't leave a CD in the drive, the system will boot normally.

Right George, I thought you would press either F2 or F8 while the computer
is starting to access the BIOS, and then you choose from a list where to
boot from... but I didn't realise that choice would then become the default
booting choice. Well, that didn't happen when I reinstalled Windows and
selected boot from CD. When the reinstallation was complete the computer
started normally...
Am I confusing things together? Please explain.
After accessing the BIOS, if I can remember how many times I need to arrow
down to select boot from CD, I then can boot from CD when I need to use
Linux, restart the computer when I'm done and all then is back to normal.
Would this way work?
To use the above method first I will need to get some sighted help to know
how many times I need to arrow to choose CD to boot from... but if that then
would make the computer always try to boot from CD first as you said, then I
need to think of another way.
Any guidance is very much welcomed.
