Subject: [access-uk] Upgrading the Plextalk Pocket

All,

I thought the below, sent to me by Wally Harding of RNIB who kindly asked me
to send him my Plextalk Pocket to try to update, might be of help:

"I was able to reproduce the problem you had and the solution seemed to be
to upgrade it to version 4.04 first and then to 5.00. I've no idea why it
was necessary to do it this way, but it worked".

So it would appear you need to do this incrementally rather than jump a
couple of updates as I had done.

I hope this is useful to someone rather than wasting half a day trying
unsuccessfully as I did last week. And I understand there is yet another
update allegedly coming out this week, so hold onto your hats guys! (smile).

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
