Sounds like a training issue. At my local polling station during the council
election, I found I had to explain how the tactile template works. The person I
dealt with said that in his 30 years of doing elections, he had never had any
training in the use of the template. To his credit, he himself flagged it up as
an issue.

I have spoken to the General Manager for electoral services of the local
council office to discuss this.
The only comment I could get from him was that the device has been approved
by the various blind organisations that have been contacted and it is a
nationally approved device.
He continued to say that, as a sighted person, he could not see that it
would be an issue.
Do other people on these lists find the tactile device a useful tool?
